I recently tried one of Leon Spring’s newest Mexican restaurants: Aldaco’s. The food was great but I was more impressed with the Happy Hour. I thought my Mom was crazy when she ordered the Avocado Margarita. That sounded so gross to me! But then I tried a sip and I fell in love. I usually love avocados and guacamole but thought there was no way it would compliment the taste of a traditional limey, sweet and sour margarita. However, the avocado made it smooth and toned down the sweetness. It turned out to be a delicious combination! You can easily make your own avocado margaritas at home, no need to leave the house.
One can frozen Bacardi Margarita Mixer
Fill empty mixer can with Camarena tequila
One eighth of the can of Patron Orange Liqueur (or Grand Marnier)
One ripe avocado
2-3 cups ice
One seeded jalapeno (if you like it spicy!)
Blend together and enjoy!
