Tastes like ice cream protein shake

As a mommy it can be nearly impossible to try to eat healthy when you are cooking for hungry kids and a picky husband! What kid or husband wants chicken and veggies for dinner every night? Definitely not mine. My husband doesn’t even consider a salad to be food.  On those nights or afternoons that you make pizza or lasagna for a meal it can be very tempting and convenient to indulge. It takes great will power to step away from the yummy food you made and also very exhausting to try and make yourself a whole separate meal! Who on earth wants to do that? On those nights where I actually have the will power to say no and step away, or when I just straight up am too lazy to make a real lunch or can’t think of anything to eat, I whip up this super easy protein shake! This is similar to a Kayla Itsines recipe that I have just fallen in love with. I make this protein shake constantly. It tastes just like a milk shake made with ice cream, no I am not exaggerating. It is the consistency and taste of a banana peanut butter version of a Frosty from Wendy’s. It also is great to eat after a good workout or if you are super hungry. The type of protein I use which my weight lifting husband recommended keeps you full for a very long time. Unlike a couple of donuts, some mac n’ cheese or a bowl of cereal; this really stays with you. It is also super quick and easy!

1 cup skim milk

1 frozen banana

1 scoop of protein (I like Syntha 6, it has many types of different proteins which are not easily digested and keep you full longer.)

1 tbsp of peanut butter

3 ice cubes

Blend until smooth and enjoy!
